The sun did not shine, it was too wet to play….but we did not stay inside on this cold, cold, wet day!
We joined the local Discovery Museum! It’s $150 per year, which includes admission for anyone in your household (even a babysitter/nanny, if you have one). Without membership, admission is $8 per person (if you’re over 2). So if we go once a week, we will definitely get our money’s worth in a couple of months.
There are four floors of fun- but Livia didn’t leave the 2nd one! Her favorite part? There was a huge water table with water wheels. Livia discovered how to make the water wheel turn by pouring water inside.
There was an automatic sink nearby for hand washing, Livia found a tea cup somewhere, figured out how to make the sink work and got herself some water. This wasn’t part of the exhibit, but she spent a considerable amount of time playing here. 🙂
On the way out, we explored the first floor. The highlight of the first floor is a REAL ambulance that you can get inside and explore. Livia climbed right in and said “beep beep!” She loved pushing the buttons, “talking” into the radio and waving “bye bye” !
We had such a blast, I lost all track of time in there. I ran out of time (and change) for the parking meter, (thankfully we didn’t get a ticket), so we headed home. Needless to say, we can’t wait to come back.
